Fishing Advent Calendar 2026: What's Inside and When to Order

October 16, 2026

A fishing advent calendar is a simple idea: a box with 24 numbered doors and a fishing lure behind each one. The person you give it to opens one door a day from December 1 to Christmas Eve. Instead of one gift that is over in a minute, they get 24 small ones.

This guide covers what is inside ours, who it suits, how to compare it with other fishing advent calendars, and when to order so it arrives on time.

Fishing advent calendar with its 24 lures laid out: crankbaits, frogs, soft baits, spoons and spinners

What is inside the Cast & Cabin calendar

Behind the 24 doors is a mix of lure types, like the ones in the photos:

  • Hard baits such as crankbaits and poppers, with treble hooks.
  • Soft baits such as frogs and soft plastics.
  • Metal spoons and spinners that flash in the water.

They are real lures with real hooks, made to be fished, not just looked at. The box itself is printed and gift-ready, so you can hand it over as it is or wrap it.

One safety note: the hooks are sharp. Keep the calendar away from small children, and open the doors together with older kids.

Who it is for

The calendar works best for people who already like to fish, even a little. It is a popular pick for:

  • Dads and grandpas who say they do not want anything. A small door to open each morning is easy to enjoy.
  • Husbands and boyfriends who fish on weekends. They get new lures to try in spring.
  • Kids who fish with a parent. Opening a door together each night becomes a December routine.

You do not need to know anything about fishing to give it. Pick the calendar, hand it over, and let them enjoy the countdown.

How to compare fishing advent calendars

There are several fishing advent calendars out there in 2026. When you compare them, these five questions sort them out quickly:

  1. Are the lures usable? Look for photos of the actual lures, not only the box. Real hooks and real lure types (crankbaits, spoons, spinners, soft baits) mean they will get used.
  2. How many days? Most run 24 days, December 1 to 24. Some only have 12.
  3. What does it cost per day? Divide the price by the number of doors. Ours is $54.99, about $2.29 a day, or $39.99 with VIP, about $1.67 a day.
  4. Will it arrive by December 1? An advent calendar that shows up on December 5 starts late. Check for a clear order-by date.
  5. Can you return it? Most calendars cannot be returned once opened. Check the policy for unopened ones.

Price

You can buy the calendar two ways:

  • Guest: $54.99, one time. Nothing else to manage.
  • VIP: $39.99 today. VIP is a membership: 14 days after purchase you pay $20. It repeats every 14 days until you cancel, and you can cancel online anytime, even before the first charge. You keep the $39.99 calendar price either way. See how VIP works.

Standard shipping is free on orders of $39 or more, so the calendar ships free either way.

When to order

Order by November 13, 2026 and your calendar will be delivered to a US address by December 1, 2026. If an order placed by then arrives later, we add $10 in store credit to your account.

After November 13, orders still ship in 1 to 3 business days, and standard delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days after that. Ordering early in November is the safe choice if you want the first door opened on December 1.

Returns

An unopened calendar with its seal intact can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Opened calendars are final sale. Full details are in our refund policy.
